Permit
Visitors driving in Zanzibar need a temporary Zanzibar driving permit. When you rent with Marven, we arrange it for you.
On the road
- Traffic drives on the left.
- Expect police checkpoints — keep your licence, permit and rental documents with you.
- Slow down through villages, where people, bicycles and animals share the road.
- Fill up when you can on long drives to the north and south-east.
